For editors

• Editor-in-Chief: sets policy and makes final decisions on appeals.
• Section editors: manage manuscripts within their area and choose reviewers.
• Editorial board: advise on scope, review papers and promote the journal.

• Screen new submissions for scope and quality within 7 days.
• Invite at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
• Base decisions on the reports and your own reading — not on a vote count.
• Write a clear decision letter that summarises what authors must change.

Editors must not handle papers from their own institution, recent co-authors or close colleagues. Papers submitted by editors are handled by another editor, and the author has no access to the review.

We follow COPE guidelines. Suspected plagiarism, data fabrication or undisclosed AI-generated content is investigated before any decision is made.
