For authors

• Check that your work fits our scope: AI, software engineering and web technologies.
• Use the scope-fit check on the submission page for a quick AI assessment and keyword ideas.
• Read the author guidelines for article types, word limits and formatting.
• Make sure all co-authors have approved the manuscript and agree to submission.

• Title page with all authors, affiliations and ORCID iDs
• Structured abstract (max 250 words) and 4–8 keywords
• Main manuscript with figures and tables cited in order
• Data and code availability statement, with repository links where possible
• Declarations: funding, competing interests, ethics approval and AI-tool use
• Cover letter explaining the contribution and suggesting reviewers (optional)

All articles are published open access under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) licence. Authors keep copyright. Any article processing charge is confirmed only after acceptance, and waivers are available for authors from low- and middle-income countries.

Submissions are screened for plagiarism. Authors must disclose any use of generative AI in writing or analysis; AI tools cannot be listed as authors. We follow COPE guidance on authorship, misconduct, corrections and retractions.

You will receive proofs for checking, usually within two weeks. Accepted articles appear online in press with a DOI before being assigned to an issue.
